Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and Odidor for use of ticketZ (the website and mobile app). By creating an account or buying a ticket, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Acceptable Use Policy, and Refunds & Cancellations Policy.
If you list events, the Vendor Terms also apply. These documents are legal templates for the product as built; they are not a substitute for advice from a Canadian lawyer.
The platform
ticketZ lets the public discover events, choose seats or ticket types, pay through Stripe, and receive QR tickets. Vendors create and manage their own events. We provide the software and payment checkout. The event itself (venue, lineup, door policy, and performance) is the responsibility of the vendor and venue, except where Canadian consumer law says otherwise.
Accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy. Roles include customer, vendor, and staff (ticket scanning).
Tickets
A ticket is a personal, non-exclusive licence to attend the event described, subject to the vendor’s and venue’s rules (including age limits and search policies). Unless the vendor or the law says otherwise, tickets are not an ownership interest in the event.
Unauthorized resale, duplication, or use of bots to scoop inventory is prohibited. We and the vendor may void tickets obtained in violation of these Terms.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown at checkout before you pay. Charges are processed by Stripe on our platform Stripe account. Currency and amount are as displayed at checkout. You authorize us and Stripe to charge the payment method you use. Failed or reversed payments may cancel the order and release seats.
Refunds
Refunds and cancellations are described in /policy/refunds. Purchases are generally final except where that policy or applicable law requires otherwise.
Acceptable use
You must follow /policy/acceptable-use. We may remove content, cancel orders, or suspend accounts to protect users, vendors, and the integrity of events.
Availability
We aim for reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Seat holds expire if you do not complete payment in time. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practical.
Intellectual property
Odidor and ticketZ branding, software, and site design are owned by us or our licensors. Event names, images, and descriptions are provided by vendors, who are responsible for having the rights to use them.
Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Canadian law, the Services are provided “as is.” We are not liable for vendor or venue failures (including cancelled performances, denied entry for venue rules you did not follow, or lost personal property). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer protection law, including liability for fraud or gross negligence.
Where liability can be limited, our total liability arising out of the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for the tickets giving rise to the claim, or CAD $100 if you made no payment.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province or territory in which you reside, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that province or territory have jurisdiction, except where a mandatory consumer forum applies.
